Peggy Juanita Yeatts

        Mrs. Peggy Juanita Yeatts, age 72 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on January 8, 2019, at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart.  She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 19, 1946.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Yeatts; an infant daughter; a beloved grandson, Joshua Katzer; her mother, Lillian Wilson; one sister, Eleanor Lowell; and one brother, David Wilson.  Peggy enjoyed socializing with friends through visits and social media, crocheting, and shopping.  She was a member of Stuart United Methodist Church.  She will be remembered as a fun, loving person; who was a caring and devoted wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend.  No matter what she faced in life she loved the Lord and never lost faith.

        Mrs. Yeatts is survived by three children, Kimberly Kendrick and husband, Jeff of Stuart, Kevin Katzer and significant other, Regina of Martinsville, Kathy Slone and husband, Donald of Preston; ten grandchildren, Shannon Kendrick-Crouse, Carrie Kendrick, Samantha Pruitt and husband, Cody, Adam Kendrick and wife, Novi, Tommy Katzer and wife, Jasmine, Donna Minter and husband, Justin, Kelly Katzer, Taylor Katzer and wife, Missy, Kody Katzer, and Katelyn Slone; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Powell and husband, Donald of Ohio and Rosalie Greer of Tennessee; one brother, Lawrence “Frankie” Wilson of Stuart; and numerous nieces and nephews.

        A family directed memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Stuart United Methodist Church with Pastor Thomas Shepherd officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday evening.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
