Phillip Wade Chaney

Mr. Phillip Wade Chaney, age 72, of Harmony, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.  He was born in Oakland County Michigan on April 22, 1948 to Connie Leftwich Chaney Hensley and the late Elwood Chaney.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him.  Mr. Chaney was a retired truck driver and proudly served our country in the United Stated Navy.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Alice Luther Chaney; sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Crystal Chaney, Andrew Chaney; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, David L Chaney, Mark and Lesa Hensley.  In addition to his father Mr. Chaney was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Ray Chaney and a step-father, Robert Hensley.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Cathy Turman.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until time for the service at the funeral home.
