Mr. Phillip Michael Langford, age 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday evening March 28, 2024, at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born December 13, 1944, in Cambridge, Maryland, to the late Wilda Langford. He was a loving father, husband, and friend to the many that were blessed to have known him. Mr. Langford proudly served in the US Army and was in the National Guard Reserves for over 19 years, a proud member of the American Legion Post 123 and the DAV. Surviving Mr. Langford is his loving wife Mary Langford of 24 years, daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie Baker and Mike of Pittsville, Maryland, Roxie Davis and Scott of Riegelwood, North Carolina, Jessica Thornton of Wilmington, North Carolina, Christina Wade-Giampamis and Stefanos of Cedar Park, Texas, Jonathan Wade and Jayna of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; 12 adorable grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and twins on the way. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Little Stevie; a brother, Donald Langford. Per the family’s request there will be no formal services held at this time. Mary will be accepting family and friends at the family home on April 2, 2024, from 12:00 until 6:00 PM 436 Granite Street, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Langford family.
