Phyllis Jeffries

Phyllis Jeffries, 83, has taken her greatest trip ever into her heavenly home.  She is dancing with the angels and telling Jesus how long she has waited for this moment.  She’ll be taking her next trolley tour on streets of gold.  Her parents, Rev. Johnie and Lorene Nance are there to greet her, along with her daughter, Nancee.  She’ll be reuniting with some of her class of ’53 Mt. Airy High School chums.  Patrons and employees of Libby Hill Seafood will always remember her smiles and laughter, as will her Surry County School co-workers and friends. Fellow church members will miss her “Amens”, but don’t worry – she’s still shouting.  Daughter Ramona and son John will remember her life in a memorial service to be held Monday, March 11th at 4:00 p.m. at New Venture Baptist Church Memorial Garden.
