Rachel Kathleen Morton

Miss. Rachel Kathleen “Kathy” Morton, 46, of Ararat, VA passed away Saturday 4, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Surry County on June 8, 1973 to the late Hurley Morton and Brenda Jennings McMillian.  Miss. Morton was a loving homemaker.  She is survived by a brother, Larry Morton; a step-sister and spouse, Tabitha and Bryson Wood; step mother, Diane Morton; nieces and spouses, Alisha and William Hawkins, Cheyenne and Justin McGee, Lana and Dillon Brown, and Lexy Mickey; great nieces and nephews, Jonah Venable, Chad McGee, Lacee McGee, Isaiah McGee, Serenity Hawkins, Ash Hawkins, Hudson Brown.  In addition to her parents Miss. Morton was preceded in death by a son, Tyler Hurley Hiatt.  A memorial service will be held Sunday January 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev.
