Ralph Moorefield Collins, Jr

Mr. Ralph Moorefield Collins, Jr. age 64 of 814-C Banner Street, Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday May 13, 2007 at his home. Mr. Collins was born in Surry County on March 16, 1943 son of the late Ralph Moorefield Collins, Sr. and Lennis Blizzard Collins and had been employed at Hospital Pharmacy for twenty years. Surviving are two sons, Steven Kelly Collins and Jeffery Darrell Collins both of Mount Airy; two daughters, Crystal Barnes of Siloam and Angel Woods of Westfield; seven grandchildren, Matthew Collins, Abby Collins, Jeramiah Collins, Aaron Collins, Ashley Barnes, Gary Gray Barnes, III and Ian Ryan; one sister, Christine Simmons of Mount Airy and a special friend Shirley Myers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. The service will be conducted by Rev. Jimmy Slate with burial to follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
