Mr. Ralph William "Joe" Quesinberry, 62, of 338 O'Neal Road, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday morning, June 1, 2010, at his home. Mr. Quesinberry was born July 25, 1947, in Surry County, to the late Prince James and Ollie Mae Venable Quesinberry. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired route salesman for Sara Lee Corporation. Mr. Quesinberry was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn "Ginger" Sexton Quesinberry of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Yolanda and Jamie Bowman of Mount Airy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sheldon and Angela Quesinberry and Bradley and Faye Quesinberry, all of Mount Airy; four grandchildren, Bryson Tate, Devin Bowman, Mason Quesinberry, and Dillon Joe Quesinberry; a sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca "Becky" and Raymond Robtison of Pilot Mountain; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James Edward and Claudine Quesinberry and Kenneth Quesinberry, all of Mount Airy; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Quesinberry was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Lee Quesinberry and Lonnie Venable Quesinberry. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Little Mountain Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Watson, the Rev. Ted Crotts, and the Rev. Ray Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Little Mountain Baptist Church. The body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family would like to express their grateful appreciation to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for the wonderful care given to Mr. Quesinberry during his illness.
