Ramona Kay Williams

Ms. Ramona Kay Williams, age 60, of Stuart, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart.  She was born in Patrick County on April 27, 1958.  She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Williams; her maternal grandparents, Elzideen and Ocie Alderman Thompson; and her paternal grandparents, Vance and Audrey Hopkins Williams.  Kay started her nursing career at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center and then worked for Martinsville Hospital for over 30 years where she was the Director of the Med-Surg Floor and also the head of the Donor program.  She was a longtime member of Tory Creek Baptist Church and she loved to travel and her God.

          Surviving are her mother and step-father, Annis and Moir Goins of Stuart; one sister, Lori Williams of Stuart; one brother, Eddie Williams of Stuart; a special niece, Deena Williams of Stuart; her Aunt, Peggy Hemmings of Dobson, NC; and her special children and Med-Surg Staff on the 4th floor.

          Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors Lonnie Hylton and Kevin Combs officiating.  Burial will follow in the Maple Shade Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday night from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences may be made to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.  The family would like to thank the staffs of Blue Ridge Therapy Connection and Sovah Health of Martinsville for all of their care and compassion.
