Mr. Randall Calvin Gammons, Sr. age 75 of 1940 Turkey Ford Road, Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Nancy Hawks Gammons. passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born June 19, 1932 in Surry County to the late Tommy and Susie Hicks Gammons. He was employed by B& D Cafeteria and was a member of Day Spring Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Nancy H. Gammons of the home, two daughters, and a son-in-law, Ashley Lynn Gammons of the home, Vickie Lynn and Bobby Sizemore Mt. Airy, NC, five sons Randle Calvin Gammons, Jr. of the home, Sammy Gammons, Newport News, VA, Clint Gammons, Statesville, NC, Gary Gammons, Charlotte, NC, Jody Gammons, Mocksville, NC, a step son and wife Will and Lisa Haynes, Lowgap, NC, two step grandchildren, Logan Haynes and Trae Haynes, Lowgap, NC, a sister, Inez Smith, Mt. Airy, NC, four brothers, Alvin Gammons, Mt. Airy, NC, Wayne and Ruth Gammons, Mt. Airy, NC, Dennis and Jessie Gammons, Mt. Airy, NC, Bobby and Lois Gammons, Mt. Airy, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gammons was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Morrison and a brother, Walter Gammons. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 25, 2007 at Dayspring Baptist Chapel conducted by Rev. Tim Gammons, Elder V.J. Hawks, Rev. Robbie Sizemore and Rev. Roger Pickett. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Sunday night at Dayspring Baptist Chapel where his body will remain until the hour of the service.
