Randall Gray Parker

Mr. Randall Gray Parker, 52, of Summertree Loop in Greensboro, formerly of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, October 3, 2008, at his home. Mr. Parker was born July 18, 1956, in Surry County, son of the late Billy Joe Parker and Betty Lee Edwards Cook. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and formerly employed at Pittsburg Die and Casting Company. He is survived by two sons, O'Billy Gray Parker and Joseph Matthew Parker, both of Greensboro; a sister, Kimberly Edwards Danley of Austinville, VA; two nephews and a spouse, Brandon Danley and Chris and Jasmine Danley, all of Mount Airy; and other family members and close friends. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by Mickey Atkinson, and burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Corbin Gil Medical Fund, c/o Lino Gil, 3744 Greenes Crossing, Greensboro, NC 27410, to assist with her medical expenses, an eight year old child suffering from a rare form of brain cancer.
