Randell "Andy" Anderson

Mr. Randell  “ Andy” Anderson, 84, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.  He was born in Polk County, TN on June 27, 1936 to the late Moat and Ada Stiles Anderson.  Mr. Anderson retired from Duke Power Company. He is survived by a son David Anderson of Denver, NC, a daughter, Andrea Anderson of Mount Airy, his son’s fiancé Penny Cox of Denver, NC. and two granddaughters, Blythe Anderson and Kaitlynn Fox and one grandson, Hunter Anderson.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Thompson Anderson. 

“Andy” was an avid outdoorsman his entire life and well known for his fishing prowess in the Catawba River System.

 A memorial service will be held at a later date.
