Randy Ray Allen

Mr. Randy Ray Allen, age 58, of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Allen was born in Patrick County on December 5, 1961, to Latney and Opal Bowman Allen.  He was employed with Scenic Ford and was a faithful member of Fancy Gap Baptist Church.  Among the many who will always cherish his kind and loving memory is his devoted wife, whom he also married on his birthday 40 years ago, Melody Beck Allen; sisters, Brenda Smith (Terry Smith), Vicky Allen (Jennifer Hiatt), Elaine Hardy; sister-in-law, Shirley Allen; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Allen was preceded in death by a son, Randall Wesley Allen; sisters, Betty Pruitt and Patricia Childress and brothers, Roger Allen, Gary Allen and Ronnie Allen.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 9th at Fancy Gap Baptist Church by Rev. Dwight Sechrist. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:00.
