Randy Dean White

Mr. Randy Dean White, 29, of 181 Simpson Mill Road, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008, at his home. He was born February 7, 1979, in Surry County, to Garry White and Sarah Hutchens White Dawson. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Sarah Hutchens White Dawson and Dean of Mount Airy; his father, Garry White of Mount Airy; a grandmother, Hilda Houpe of Mount Airy; grandfathers, Aldon White and Paul Hutchens, Sr., both of Mount Airy; a step-sister, Kendra Dawson of Mount Airy; a great-aunt, Betty Galyean of Hillsville, VA; and an uncle, Paul Hutchens, Jr. of Dobson. Randy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucille White; and an aunt, Paula Tilley. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Tommy Nichols and the Rev. Joey Lane, and burial will follow at the Unity Community Church Cemetery in Ararat, VA. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home, and other times at his mother's home, 107 Cross Park Lane, Mount Airy, or his father's home, 302 Simpson Mill Road, Mount Airy.
