Ray Calvin Lambert, Jr.

Mr. Ray Calvin Lambert, Jr., age 66, of Mount Airy passed away on Friday at Atrium Wake Forest Health. He was born in Forsyth County, June 29, 1955, the son of the late Ray Calvin Lambert, Sr., and Alease Wright Lambert. Mr. Lambert was a graduate of Mount Airy High School and North Carolina State University and was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America Old Hickory Council for many years and a member of Grace Moravian Church. Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Lynn Jackson Lambert; son and daughter-in-law, John and Shawn Lambert; sister-in-law Vickie Chilton; and a number of other close loving and special cousins and nieces. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 11, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery with Dr. Neil Routh and Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Northern Regional Hospital Skilled Care, 830 Rockford St., Mount Airy, NC 27030 or Grace Moravian Church, 1401 North Main St., Mount Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the employees of the skilled nursing floor and the ED staff, Dr. Edsall and Dr. Turman at Northern Regional Hospital and the members of the MICU at Atrium Wake Forest Health.
