Raymond Waite Beers

Mr. Raymond Waite Beers, 78, of Mount Airy, passed away early Thursday morning, July 7, 2022, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem.  Mr. Beers was born November 5, 1943, in New York, NY, the only child born to the late Harold Woodard and Adelaid “Adele” Teresa Soeller Beers.  Raymond served our country in the United States Navy from 1961 until 1967.  He retired from the United States Postal Service in November 1998, after 31 years of service, and he was a member of Westfield Baptist Church.  He is survived by two sons, Christopher Ray Beers and Benjamin James Beers, both of the home.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Beers was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Ilene Rennie Beers.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Westfield Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Wes McGarry officiating.  No formal visitation will be held; however, the family will greet friends immediately following the graveside service.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
