Raymond Montgomery Worrell

Mr. Raymond Montgomery Worrell, 90, of Ennice, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25, 2022.  Mr. Worrell was born June 9, 1932, in Surry County, the son of the late Mont and Sally Worrell.  He retired as the credit manager of Perry Brothers Tire Company in Southern Pines.  He was past master in 1963 of Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF and AM and recently received his Diamond Jubilee Certificate as a 60-year member.  He also served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  Surviving are his wife, Susan Worrell; a daughter, Tara W. Wilson; a sister, Betty Jo Herrell; two nieces, Sandy Robinson and Betsy Herrell; a nephew, Tim Jarrell; his beloved pet dog, Lincoln; and many, beloved friends and neighbors.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Worrell was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his daughter, Betty Jean Taylor Worrell; and two sisters, Polly W. Jarrell and Elsie Mae Worrell.  There will be no formal services at this time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF and AM, 825 Old Lowgap Road, Mount Airy, NC  27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
