Rebecca Sue Bowman

Mrs. Rebecca Sue Guynn Bowman, 59, of Mt. Airy lost her battle with cancer after two years on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in Carroll County, VA on December 20, 1959 to Jonah and Alma Cothren Guynn.  Mrs. Bowman was employed with Hanes Brand and was a faithful member of Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Bowman is survived by her husband, Thomas Bowman; a son, Elijah Thomas Bowman; brothers and sister-in-law, Chris Guynn, and Mike and Ginny Nester.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Brian Frazier officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bowman Family Cemetery in Ararat, VA.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 132 Chadwick Ln., Mt.
