Rebecca Johnson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Rebecca Elaine Hodges Johnson, better known as “Becky”, 66, of Dobson, NC, on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  She was born in Galax, VA, on June 20, 1954, to Aileen Murphy Hodges and to the late Raleigh Tomes Hodges.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bridget Renae Laws.  Surviving are her two sons, Jason Laws and Lisa, Jonathan Johnson and Mya; grandchildren, Charles Neil Tickle and family, Gena Anna Lee Laws, David Jason Lee Laws, Lena Lee Letterman, Mia Isabella Rain Johnson; her mother, Aileen Murphy Hodges; sisters and brother-in-law, LaDonna and George Fulton and family, Areta McCormick and family; brothers and sisters-in-law, Russell and Kathy Hodges and family, Duane and Debbie Hodges and daughter. Over the years Becky worked more than a decade for both Wayne Farms and Nester Hosiery, and for the past 12 years she worked at Surry Diner.   She will be greatly missed by all, but never forgotten. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 5th at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson.
