Mrs. Rebecca Ann Wall McCann, 71, of Dobson, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 8, 2010. She was born in Surry County on March 2, 1939, to the late William McKinley and Dulcie Scott Wall. She was a retired computer technician from AT&T and a faithful member of Salem Fork Baptist Church. Becky was always willing to help others anyway she could while asking nothing in return. Words can never express the thanks that her granddaughter has for always being there and imparting her wisdom and personal strength to her. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jody Patient of Winston-Salem; a granddaughter, Tara and husband Alex Kellner of Greensboro; three great-grandchildren. whom she deeply cherished, Isabella Rose Kellner, Ender Alex Kellner, and soon to arrive, Emerson Kellner; and two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Mack Wall of Lenoir, Royce and Eloise Wall of Elkin, and Linda "Bill" Wall of Jonesville. In addition to her parents, her husband, Hershel McCann; a brother, Harold Wall; an infant sister; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Johnson Wall, preceded Mrs. McCann in death. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Salem Fork Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tom Parker and the Rev. Van Brindle will officiate the service. Her body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the church Wednesday evening where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., And other times the home of her brother, Royce Wall, 555 Bert Cockerham Road, Elkin, NC. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the McCann family.
