Rebecca "Becky" Apple Thunder

Ms. Rebecca Apple Thunder, age 82 of Mount Airy, passed away on Monday evening, November 13, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Ms. Thunder was born July 28, 1941, in Alamance County, North Carolina to the late Marvin Franklin Apple, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth Best Apple.  Becky was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Misty Hagwood and Bud; sister, Gloria Apple Dalton; a brother, Marvin Franklin Apple, Jr; a niece Kerry Apple; a nephew Jason Franklin Apple; a very special friend, Chris Zwick; and her three grand dogs.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Thunder was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Victor Apple.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November  18, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 18, 2023, following the service at the home of her son-in-law, Bud Hagwood, 178 Old County Road, Dobson, North Carolina 27017.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mayberry 4 Paws, 210 Country Club, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
