Rebecca Anette Vass

Mrs. Rebecca Annette Queen Eades Vass, 94, of Fancy Gap, VA passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Surry County on June 13, 1928, to the late Willie Lee and Gertrude Crissman Queen.  Mrs. Vass retired from Lynn Hosiery after 28 years of employment and also retired from Wheatland Retirement Center as a CNA.  She is survived by a stepdaughter, Laura Sentman; step grandchildren, Greg Sentman, Cindy Sentman, Mark Sentman; step great grandchildren, Gavin Sentman and Daniel Sentman; many nieces and nephews; her special caregivers, Junior and Libby Vass, and Willa Dean Queen.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vass was preceded in death by her husband, James “J.D.” Daniel Vass; her first husband, Grey Eades; a son, Charles Eades; four sisters, and five brothers.  A graveside service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM Union Hill Friends Church Cemetery with the Pastor John Leek officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Union Hill Friends Church Cemetery Fund, 2315 Red Brush Rd., Mt.
