Reeda Massey

Mrs. Reeda Florence Hodges Massey, age 69, of Mt. Airy, NC went to Heaven on Saturday, February 20, 2021,  at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born in Surry County, NC on January 20, 1952, to the late Willie Hodges and the late Hilda Nixon Hodges. In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her Sister Jean Edwards; Brother Leonard Hodges. Reeda was a woman of strong faith and put God first in her life. She was retired from Renfro. Reeda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was the best at everything, the best Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, cook, seamstress, and Friend to all who knew her. Surviving are her Husband, Raymond “Keith” Massey; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Sarah and Josh Hazel; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Jason and Kristi Massey; Grandchildren, Keaton Massey and his fiancée Bethany Hewett, Callie Hazel; Sisters and Brother-in-Laws, Wilma and Dwain Galyean, Judy and Jimmy Sams, Bobby Edwards; Brother and Sister-in-Laws, Ward and Jean Hodges, Ruby Hodges; several Nieces and Nephews; Special Friend, Lillie Brown. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 23, 2021, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Life Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Arlis Thomas and Elder Moses Massey will officiate the services, with her Grandson, Keaton Massey to speak.  Her body will lie in state on Tuesday Morning from 9:00 AM until the time of her service at 2:00 PM.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Massey family. Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him."
