Mrs. Regina Lynn Derrick Hatton, 52, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Hatton was born September 7, 1965 in Habersham County, GA, the daughter of the late James Robert and Frances Irene Tyler Derrick. Regina worked as a cook in her sister’s restaurant, Reba’s Buffet and Grill in Hollywood, GA, for several years and was a member of The Sanctuary. She is survived by her husband, William Michael Jones of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joshua Hatton and Tyler and Rebekah Hatton, all of Mount Airy, and Andrew and Ashley Hatton of Dobson; five grandchildren, Johnny Lee Bromfield II, Sharrissa Wells, Jerrell Nay, Natalie Hatton, and Baby Hatton (due January 2019); three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Genelle Looney of Georgia, Patsy and Thurmond Gibson of Clarksville, GA, and Reba and Angus Hunter of Hollywood, GA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Vicki Holden of Mount Airy, GA, Buster and Pam Derrick of Cleveland, GA, and Andy and Genda Derrick of Clarksville, GA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hatton was preceded in death by her second husband, Johnny Lee Bromfield; four sisters, Betty Sue Holden, Martha Cook, Judy Elaine Richards, and Elma Jean Simpson; and two brothers, Carlton Dale Holden and James William Holden. The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Pastor Glenn Dulaney officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
