Ressie Orene Marshall

Mrs. Ressie Orene Easter Marshall, 92, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Northern Hospital of Surry County.  She was born in Carroll County on April 24, 1926 to the late Cosby and Maude Leftwich Easter.  Mrs. Marshall was a homemaker.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Jimmy Coalson; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Linda Marshall; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, William Marshall; a daughter, Delight Marshall; a sister, Claudia Cagle; brothers. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Quesenberry and the Rev. Michael Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Cana.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
