Mrs. Retha Mae Woodruff Quesinberry, 89, of Mount Airy, departed this world for her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Commonwealth Senior Living in Hillsville, VA. She was born to Andrew Click and Bessie Lee Coe Woodruff in Surry County. She married Roby Quesinberry on September 7, 1946. They had two children, Amelia “Mimi” Patterson and Rodney Trent Quesinberry. Retha had two granddaughters, Jennifer Patterson and Charlie Mickey of Winston-Salem and Julie Patterson and Chad Landen of Greensboro; and three great-granddaughters, Taylor Landen and Addison and Ada Mickey. She is also survived by four sisters, Betty Southern, Annie Lee Page, Norma (Archie) Haynes, and Sandra (Jimmy) Byrd; and a brother-in-law, James Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son; three sisters, Dorothy Lawrence Branch, Edna Easter, and Mary Ruth Riggs Cooper; and a brother, Frank Woodruff. Her service of celebration at Highland Park Baptist Church will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018, at 2:00 PM, with visitation in the church sanctuary from 1:30 until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Highland Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 1327 Grove Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
