Rev. Eugene Edwards

Rev. Eugene Edwards age 71 of 158 Indian Trail, Mount Airy, husband of Beulah Elizabeth McMillian Edwards passed away at his home on Saturday, April 21, 2007. Rev. Edwards was born in Surry County on May 6, 1935n to the late Anna Belle Edwards Woods. He was retired from Bassett Furniture and was a member of Holy Cross Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Beulah Elizabeth McMillian Edwards of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Linda Marion of the home and Mary Ann and Elias Rico Mosqueda of Pulaski, TN; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Angela Edwards of Mount Airy; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren, three sisters, Sandra Woods, Audrey Woods and Frances Woods all of Cana, a step-sister, Maxine Edwards, FL and two brothers, Franklin Edwards and Douglas Edwards both of Cana. and a step-brother, Junior Woods. In addition to his mother, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister Brenda Edwards and a granddaughter, Brittany Dawn Marion. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Holy Cross Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mr. Dan Schwartz, Rev. Donald Bryant, Rev. Marlie Hawks and Rev. Butch Holder Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Tuesday night at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy where his body will remain until carried to the church for the service.
