Rev. Harmon William Heath, age 93 of Mount Airy, widower of Ellen Frances Culler Heath, passed away Friday, June 08, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Heath was born in Carroll County, April 25, 1914 to the late Henry Heath and Ella Williams Heath. He was a retired Baptist minister and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Bobby Hiatt of Mt. Airy; four sons and daughters-in-law, Hal and Shirley Heath of Mt. Airy; John and Yvonne Heath of Troutville, VA; Roby and Elizabeth Heath of Clifton Forge, VA and Kent and Sheila Heath of Apex; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and a special niece, Hilda Shelton. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dee Jones, Debbie Law, Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care and to Dr. Nelson Gardner. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 3:30 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Rev. Keith Love, Dr. James Joseph and Bro. David Heath with burial to follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Saturday night from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
