Rev. Michael Claybrook Shelton

Rev. Michael Claybrook Shelton age 64 of 167 Terri Lane, Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Jo Ann Lawson Shelton passed away, Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born September 26, 1948 in Martinsville, VA to the late Murray Claybrook and Ruby Lillian Shelton. He was a graduate of Holmes Bible College in Greeneville, SC and had attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Rev. Shelton had pastored several churches in the Cornerstone Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church including: Marion First P.H. Church, Fountain of Life, Bethel P.H. Church, Mt. View P.H. Church and Family Fellowship Chapel where he was currently pastor in Mt. Airy. Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann L. Shelton of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, LeAnn Shelton West and Chris of Browns Summit, a son and daughter-in-law, Jamie Clay Shelton and Shannon of Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Family Fellowship Chapel, 2237 South McKinney Road, Mt. Airy, NC. The service will be conducted by Bishop Doyle Marley. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 pm Saturday at Family Fellowship Chapel prior to the service. Burial and graveside service will be held in the Roselawn Memorial Park in Martinsville, VA on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 3:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Family Fellowship Chapel in honor of his years of service.
