Rev. Thomas Wade "T.W." Estes

Rev. Thomas Wade "T.W". Estes age 85 of Greensboro; formally of Mt. Airy and husband of Mozelle Smoot Estes passed away on Thursday October 4, 2007; at his home. Rev. Estes was born February 25, 1922 in Gallatin, Missouri to the late Harry and Mary Estes; he was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during several wars and received a Purple Heart. Rev Estes retired as a full time minister in 1984 from Guilford Baptist Church which he also a member. Rev. Estes was also a graduate of Gardner-Webb College, Wake Forest University and Southeastern Seminary. Southeastern Seminary bestowed on Mr. Estes the honor of putting his life history in its archives in 2005. Surviving is his wife Mozelle Smoot Estes of the home, one son Tom Estes of Greensboro. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conduced by Rev. Granville Robinson, Rev. Cecil Buff and Rev. Cline Borders. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 1:00 PM Sunday until the hour of the service at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care or Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
