Reva Jeanette Tolliver Boyer

Mrs. Reva Jeanette Tolliver Boyer, 88, of 322 Taylor Street, Mount Airy, passed away Friday, December 14, 2007, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Boyer was born August 2, 1919, in Alleghany County, to the late Clayton and Della Edwards Tolliver. She was a homemaker and retired from Spencer's Inc. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy B. Harris and Joyce B. Phillips, both of Mount Airy, and Janie B. and G. Marshall Collier of Willis, VA; a son, Jimmy R. Boyer of Mount Airy; twelve grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Emma Lou and France Parisen of Elkton, MD; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyer was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Boyer; two daughters, Frances Jeanette Boyer and Barbara B. Adams; and a son, Clayton M. Boyer. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 17, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Slate, and burial will follow at Pleasant Home Church Cemetery in Sparta. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
