Rev. Rex Thomas Adams, age 67, of Dobson, passed away at his home on July 30, 2020. He was born in Forsyth County on August 5, 1952 to the late Eldon Thomas and Martha Brintle Adams. He was a dedicated servant of the Lord whose desire to spread the Gospel was his greatest passion in life. He strived to be the best spiritual leader and mentor to those in his congregation. As a father and grandfather, he endeavored to always point his children and grandchildren to Christ. His favorite verse was Phillipians 3:10“...That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death...” Rex yearned to know the Lord and be a servant unto others. He is now reaping his rewards in Heaven for his Service here on Earth. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Betty Jean Adams of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, April and Wes Berrier, Autumn and Doug Hensley, Ashley and Kyle McCormack, Sarah Bigel and fiancé Jospeh Calloway; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Karie Adams as well as twelve grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Johnny Smith and Joan Smith. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents Eldon and Martha Brintle Adams. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 6:00 PM at Miracle Waters Church with services conducted by Rev. Roger Easter and Rev. Bobby Jenkins.
