Mr. Rex Maynard Quesinberry, 81, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Quesinberry was born in Surry County on February 4, 1938 to the late Rupert Ray and Ida Mae Hutson Quesinberry.  He was a farmer and painter, and was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Quesinberry proudly served our country in the United States Army.  He is survived by his wife, Maedell Parks Quesinberry; daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Chris Tate, Susie and Chad Watts; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Amy Quesinberry; grandchildren, Haley and Robby Horton, Paige and Matthew Fouty, and Brady Watts and Maggie Hawks; great grandchild, Adalynne Fouty; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donnies and Lonnie Johnson. Brenda and Ronnie Hall, Debra and Daniel Brindle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Ray and Rhonda Quesinberry, Gregory and Lynn Quesinberry, Grant and Cindy Quesinberry, Jimmy and Jeraldine Quesinberry, and Lou Quesinberry; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Quesinberry was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Norma Jean and Roger Atkins; a brother, Roger “Shorty” Quesinberry.  The family would like to give a special thank you to Annette Sawyers for the love and care given to Rex during his illness.  There will not be any formal services at the funeral home.  A private burial will be at The Community Church Cemetery with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
