Rhonda Danette Hobbs

Ms. Rhonda Danette Barfield Hobbs, age 62, of Dobson, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021, at her residence. She was born July 31, 1958, in Rocky Mount North Carolina to the late Johnny Ree Barfield and the late Elsie Lee Whitley Barfield. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Michelle Hobbs; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Shawn and Melony Hobbs; grandchildren, Riley Hobbs Collins, Sydney Hobbs, Paige Hobbs and Nathan Garrett Hobbs; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clayton Darrell and Shelga Barfield and Kenneth Bruce and Barbara Barfield.  Danette was a loving mother and grandmother.  She showed her family how to always put others first.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and always made others laugh.  She will be dearly missed by those who love her.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at The Church of Latter-Day Saints, Pilot Mountain Ward with Bishop Darren Cousins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilot Mountain City Cemetery. There be no visitation held. Everyone attending is asked to wear a mask and follow proper social distancing practices.
