Rhonda Haden Rakes

Mrs. Rhonda Haden Rakes, age 49 of Stuart, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007 at her home. She was born in Patrick County on September 6, 1958 to Moir and Elva Lee Haden of Stuart. She was a member of Woolwine United Methodist Church, and had been a teacher at Stuart Elementary School for 27 years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rakes is survived by her husband, Donald C. Rakes of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Kim Rakes of Stuart; one daughter, Hillary Rakes of the home; one granddaughter, Haley McKenzie Rakes; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nadine and Rusty Smith of Stuart and Darlene and Tony Holt of Woolwine.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rakes will be held Monday, November 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Woolwine United Methodist Church with Pastor Jack Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in the Woolwine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the church.
