Mr. Richard “Dicky” Francis Woodman Sr., passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 58. Born in Bath, Maine to Ellen Marsh and Richard Elroy Woodman on March 2, 1966. On April 24, 1999, he married the love of his life, Becky Sue McKeen, and together, they built a family and a life filled with love and laughter. He was a devoted father to Casey, Ryan and Ricky. Dicky was a hardworking man, a mentor, and a friend to all. He started his career working as a mechanic with Bill Whorff & Sons. Later he relocated to North Carolina and opened his own business “Woodman Racing” while working for R.C. Moore as a shop foreman. He enjoyed ice fishing and hunting. He was an accomplished high school wrestler at Morse High school in Bath Maine, enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Buffalo Bills. Dicky was known for his witty sense of humor, a giving family man who always had a smile on his face and his devotion to his countless close friends. Predeceased by his parents, Dicky’s legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Becky; his children, Richard “Ricky” Francis Woodman Jr., Casey Angus Woodman and his wife Makaela, and soon to be grandson; and Ryan John Woodman. His stepfather, Wayne DeLong. His sisters, Merrilee Woodman Griffith and her husband Timothy; Audrey Woodman Latella and her husband Phil; Lisa Woodman; Doris DeLong Gagne and her husband David. A stepbrother, Dean DeLong and his wife, Christie. His cousins, nieces and nephews will also feel his absence, along with a wide circle of friends and colleagues. Celebration of life will be held at the Community Center building located at 412 S. Myrtle Avenue in China Grove, NC 28023 from 4-7pm on April 3rd, 2024. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery located on Oak Grove Avenue in Bath, ME 04530 at 10am on May 22nd, 2024. There will be a celebration of life held at the Maine Maritime Museum located at 243 Washington St. Bath, ME 04530 from 1-5pm on May 22nd, 2024. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bath Tech Scholarship in Honor of Richard Woodman. Make checks out to:
