Richard Thomas Ferguson

Mr. Richard Thomas Ferguson, age 41, of Mt Airy, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at his 
home. He was born in Kane County, Illinois on October 1, 1981, to Lucian Thomas Ferguson Jr, and Parthene 
Taylor Ferguson Chapman. Richard ran a father and son Auto Technician Shop, R&N Automotive. Richard 
loved fast cars, he loved people, and he loved his family. Richard would give the shirt off his back to anyone in 
need. Left to cherish his memory are his wife; Holly Ferguson; his children, Natalie Ferguson, Nathan 
Ferguson, Israel Flores, Kaitlyn Flores, Sophia Flores; father, Lucian Thomas Ferguson Jr; mother and 
stepfather, Kevin and Parthene Chapman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jesus Flores, Annette Flores; sisters
and brothers-in-law, Mary Hawks (Derrick), Tonya Ferguson, Teresa Ferguson, Victor Flores; sisters-in-law, 
Heather Tucker (Andy), Vivian Branch (Shane), Renee Flores, Savanah Flores along with several special 
nieces, and nephews. Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucian and Elizabeth Ferguson;
uncle, Elvin Ferguson aka “Fergie”; aunt, Patsy Luna. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 
15, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Ricky 
Daughenbaugh. Burial will follow in Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday 
from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the funeral home.
