Richard Dale Marion

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Because he believed God’s promise, Richard Dale Marion, age 60, of Mt. Airy, NC, entered his eternal residence in his “Father’s house” on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He was born in Surry Co. on February 12, 1956 to the late Arlys Calvin Marion and to the late Gertrude Gammons Marion. He was employed by Carl Rose Paving Contractor, and was a member of Turkey Ford Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of 37 years Brenda Bingman Marion of the home; two daughters and son-in-law Candice Marion of Mt. Airy, Kelly and Tobey Mitchell of Dobson; one grandson Liam Mitchell; sister Wanda Marion of Mt. Airy. He never met a stranger, had a big heart, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 PM, March 26, 2016 at Turkey Ford Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Marion Family Cemetery. Rev. Steven Corn and Rev. Kermit Gray officiating the service. The family will receive friends on Friday evening at Turkey Ford Baptist Church from 5 PM until 8 PM. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Marion family.
