Richard "Rocky" Terry Honeycutt

Mr. Richard “Rocky” Terry Honeycutt, age 71, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning, August 11, 2020.  He was born on June 28, 1949 in Forsyth County to the late Mary Lousie Williams Larimore.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 20 years, Angela Ray Honeycutt; sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Tammy Honeycutt, and Ryan and Shannon Bunker; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Colter Bowman; his grandchildren, Andrea Honeycutt, Nicky Honeycutt, Caleb Flores, Hailey Terry, Ashley Terry, Harmony Bunker, and Kinleigh Bunker; two great-grandchildren, Paisley Nelson and Oliver Honeycutt; and a brother, Vernon Honeycutt.  In addition to his mother, Mr. Honeycutt was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Hollifield; and a brother, Wayne Honeycutt.  Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K.
