Mr. Richard Joseph Rybarczyk, 67, of 185 Parker Road, Mount Airy, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009, at his home. He was born January 25, 1942, in North Tonawanda, NY, to the late John and Stella Kureczka Rybarczyk. He retired as plant manager from the L.S. Starrett Company. After his retirement, Mr. Rybarczyk was employed part-time by O'Reilly Auto Parts. He was a member of the Mount Airy Elks Lodge and was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Coppin Rybarczyk of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and John McKerlie of Apex, Karen and Gus Braun of Fairport, NY, and Brenda and Paul Braun of Durham; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Joseph Rybarczyk, Jr. and Julie of Chesapeake, VA; eight grandchildren, Andrea McKerlie, Shannon McKerlie, Richard Joseph Rybarczyk, III, Elisabeth Rybarczyk, Anna Braun, Christopher Braun, Logan Braun, and Noah Braun; a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Vic Daley of North Tonawanda, NY; and a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Diane Rybarczyk, Ambler, PA. A memorial funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, conducted by Father Eric Kowalski. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245; or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
