Richard Paul Surratt

Mr. Richard Paul Surratt, 55, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday morning, November 9, 2018, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Surratt was born April 18, 1963, in Surry County, the son of Jo Ann Caudle Surratt of Toast and the late Carlos Paul Surratt.  He was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to his mother, Mr. Surratt is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Chris Davis of Mount Airy; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Paulette Surratt of Toast and Randy and Jane Surratt of Cana, VA; his nieces and nephews, Jacob, Casey, Luke, and Lillian Surratt, all of Cana, VA, and Rebecca Surratt, Hadley Warren, and Emerson Warren, all of Mount Airy; his aunts and uncles, Bill and Frankie Caudle, Glenda and Ralph Gough, Bill Belton, and Myrtle Wagoner, all of Mount Airy; and numerous cousins.  A graveside service will be held Monday, November 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Alex L. Martin officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC  27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
