Ricky Dale Ayers

Mr. Ricky Dale Ayers, Sr., 53, of 303 Highland Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born April 25, 1957, in Surry County, to the late Roy Clinton and Lela Lois Cooke Ayers. He was a truck driver and a member of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, April Dawn Ayers of Mount Airy; two sons, Ricky Dale Ayers, Jr. of Brown Summitt and Jonathan Ayers of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Trent Ayers and Cailee Ayers; his mother, Leila Lois Cooke Ayers of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Tommie and Ronnie Arrington of Mount Airy; and a brother, Roy Ayers of Mount Airy. In addition to his father, Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by a sister, Gaye Bennett. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 6, 2010, at Skyline Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Wesley Flippin and the Rev. Randy Money officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home, but the family will receive friends at anytime at the home of his sister, Tommie Arrington, 216 Devon Street, Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
