Ricky Dale Bobbitt

Mr. Ricky Dale Bobbitt, age 62, of Westfield, NC passed away on March 23, 2022, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Surry County, February 17, 1960, the son of the late Gary Bobbitt and Patricia Key Bobbitt Hatfield. Mr. Bobbitt was retired from United Plastics after 30 years of service. He enjoyed programing and working on computers and was an avid Star Wars and Star Trek enthusiast. He was a member of Harvest Temple Church. Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Sue Atkins Bobbitt; a daughter, Christie Baumann; grandson, Zachary Baumann, and Colin Baumann; brother, Keith Bobbitt (Dawn) of Georgia; mother-in-law, Melinda Atkins and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carlie Atkins.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robbie Sizemore officiating. Interment to follow in Indian Grove Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy is serving the Bobbitt family.
