Ricky Dean white

Mr. Ricky Dean White, 51, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, February 09, 2018 at Dunmore Plantation in Dobson. He was born in Surry County on January 6, 1967 to Stella Johnson White Hawks and the late Ray White. Mr. White worked at Wells Fargo, and was a member of Community Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, Mr. White is survived by his step-father, Bobby Hawks; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy Galyean, Amanda and Jake Hooker, Tammy and Robert Beck, Angie and Greg Edwards; brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Angie Hawks; nephews, Austin Isaacs, Jacob Galyean and fiancé, Tamara, Corey and Sophie Galyean, Wyatt Hooker, and Reid Hooker; nieces, Laken Edwards, Alisha Hawks, Cidney Hawks, Savana Edwards, Baley Hawks, Hannah Hooker. In addition to his father Mr. White was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary White; grandparents, Grady and Elizabeth Johnson. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Community Baptist Church. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and the staff of Dunmore Plantation for the care given to Ricky during his illness. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
