Rinita Faye True Montgomery

Rinita Faye True-Montgomery – 1960 to 2022

 Rinita Faye shook off her earthly bonds to enter into His Kingdom on May 24, 2022 at Mountain Valley Hospice, Dobson, NC.  Anita was born September 24, 1960 in Surry, NC to the late Mary Ruth Odell Slate and late Otis Lee Slate. She was predeceased by her nephew Joshua Bowman and her beloved yorkie, Jack.

She leaves behind her devoted husband Claude Elbert Montgomery Jr. and three loving children; Justin True (Katie) and children Gabriella and Julian True and Delaney Crotts; Jennifer True Roper (Steven) and children Elizabeth, Steven II, Nathaniel and Alexander Roper with a great-grandchild due in December, and Michael True and children McKenzie, Annabelle and Zeland True.  Also surviving are siblings, Missy (Tim) Martin, Dale (Pam) State and Ronny (Tina) Slate and numerous nieces and nephews.  Rinita also leaves behind her sister-in-laws, Donna and Tina True.

Anita loved the Lord, and found great joy being a Granny to her grandbabies. She was a kind and caring woman who never met a stranger. She could liven up any situation with her beautiful smile and witty remarks. She loved cooking and watching Food Network, especially Alton Brown. 

We want to thank the family and employees of Mount Airy Equipment Company for their love and support and donation. They have truly shown love to Rinita and Cluade by providing Claude time off work to be with her and to take care of her.  We would also like to thank Willis Gap Baptist Church and the many family members and friends who have donated and gave their support.
