Robert Dale Adams

Mr. Robert Dale Adams, 37, of State Road, passed away on Monday June 9, 2008 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born in Surry County on January 8, 1971 to the late Jimmy Dale and Carolyn Gaither Adams Brown. Mr. Adams was a member of Calvary Baptist Church as was employed by Village Market of Shelton Vineyards. A loving and giving person, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his former wife and mother of his child, Kimberly Dawn Adams of Elkin; the love of his life and "Daddy's Girl" Ashley Dawn Adams of Elkin; his loving mother and step-father, Carolyn Gaither Adams Brown and husband Bernie; his fiance Tracey Cox of Elkin; a very special aunt and best friend Robin Gaither of Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday June 12, 2008 at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tony White and Rev. Jerry Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm at Moody-Davis Funeral Home where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state thirty minutes.
