Robert Lewis Allen

Mr. Robert Lewis Allen, 37, of 226 Cedar Ridge Place, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009. Mr. Allen was born February 24, 1972, in Patrick County, VA, to Robert Lee Allen and Jane Hylton Williams. He was an auto mechanic and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Robert Lee and Gladys Allen of Mount Airy; his mother, Janet Hylton Williams of Laurel Fork VA; a brother and sister-in-law, David Leon and Betty Allen of Mount Airy; two stepbrothers, Dean Key of Jonesville and Michael Key of Mount Airy; his great-grandmother, Josie Irene Belcher of Laurel Fork, VA; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Tony White and the Rev. Alan Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
