Robert Bell

Mr. Robert Bell, age 86 of Claudville, VA, husband of Helen Falzarano Bell, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Central Continuing Care. Mr. Bell was born in Richmond, VA September 5, 1920 to Manuel Simpson and Cetie Simpson. He served our country in the US Merchant Marines and was a member of New Home Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Helen Falzarano Bell of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Al Lavoie of Ararat, VA; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Cathy Bell of Norwood, MA and six grandchildren, Renee Ness and husband Bryan of CA, Jason Mello and Jacob Bell both of Ararat, VA and Mark Bell and Alison Bell both of Norwood, MA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 24, 2007 at 2:00 PM at New Home Church of Christ. The service will be conducted by Bro. Tim Smith and Bro. Walt Wilson with burial to follow in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mount Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Central Continuing Care. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
