Robert "Bobby" Lawrence Leonard

Mr. Robert “Bobby” Lawrence Leonard, age 76, of Westfield, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 16, 2023.  He was born June 10, 1946, in Surry County to the late Robert Corbin Leonard and Edna Virginia Sumner Leonard.  He worked at Granite City Cigar for many years and worked as a DJ.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Francis Pack Leonard of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Alison and Cory Sumner; son, Jeffery Leonard and Emily Brown; and grandchildren, Ellie, Aubrey, and Corbin Sumner.  A memorial graveside service for Papa will be held on Saturday April 22, 2023, at 11:00AM at Brown Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Carter officiating.  Military honors will be provided by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard, Pilot Mountain Post 9436 and Mt. Airy Post 2019.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, NC 27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Leonard family.
