Robert Alan Burtnett

Mr. Robert Alan Burtnett, 92, of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born in Passaic County, NJ, on June 29, 1930, to the late Clarence Thomas and Mae Ruth Llewelyn Burtnett.  Mr. Burtnett was a retired Boiler Maker for Conrail Railroad.  Left to cherish his memory are daughter and son-in-law, Susan Condon (Richard); sons and daughters-in-law, Alan Burtnett (Vonnie), Thomas Burtnett (Dolores); grandchildren, Allyson Vance (David), Edward Leslie (Wendy), Karl Burtnett (Amy), Kristine Dreher (Aaron), Erin Petitt (Jerry), Nicholas Cooper, Sarah Haynie, Samantha Haynie; sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Burtnett was preceded in death by his wife, Jonna Jean Harwood Burtnett; daughter, Roberta Haynie; granddaughter, Nancy Leslie; sister Patricia Hanson.
