Mr. Robert Clinton “R.C.” Creasy, age 72, of Dobson, NC passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Surry County on May 25, 1948, to the late Robert Ernest Creasy and the late Sarah Louise Hicks Creasy. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, a veteran of the US Marine Corps having served in Vietnam, and was retired from Renfro Corporation, as an Machinist. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Kathleen Creasy Draughn. Surviving is his two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Keith Carter, Misti and Steven Collins; grandchildren, Corbin Collins and girlfriend, Morgan Dawson, Victoria Carter and fiancé, Clay St.John, Savannah and Matthew Hall; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bobbie Jean Clifton and her companion Larry Champion, Patsy Atkins, Shirley and Homer Casstevens, Steve Draughn; brother James Edward Dockins; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday December 1, 2020 at Piney Grove Baptist Church. A burial will follow in the church cemetery with full Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Honor Guard Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436 with Rev. Kyle Caudle and Chaplin Jonathan Casstevens officiating. Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), his body will lie in state for one hour prior to the funeral service at Piney Grove Baptist Church. The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice home, and a special neighbor Ira Burchette. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Creasy family.
